The Mennonite Weekly Review (MWR) reports on a recent conference, Conversations on Attachment: Integrating the Science of Love and Spirituality,” sponsored by Eastern Mennonite University(EMU), in which speakers discussed the spiritual reasons why people are intended to live in relationships. The conference found that people function optimally when they are in supportive relationship
EMU has a hiring policy that prohibits gay and lesbian faculty from being in committed relationships.
(Ironically, the MWR conference article is followed by the recent article about MC-USA’s expulsion of a Mennonite pastor because he is in a committed relationship.)

/ April 28, 2011We are not followers of Jesus without love. There is no question about that. The trouble with the Church is that it has become THE CHURCH, not unlike other organizational structures. The core values that gave it birth seem to have gotten lost along the way. Did I say the way? I meant The Way.
